Keep the Texas Market Competitive

Our Priorities

Here in Texas, our businesses and people thrive thanks to the free market on which our state was built. However, out-of-state special interests want more government control in the power generation market and believe the government should be in the business of picking winners and losers. PoweringTexans is dedicated to protecting Texas’ energy landscape by advancing free market principles and minimal government intervention.

We know that onerous government control over the power market, as witnessed in states such as California, makes power less affordable and less reliable. We are here to educate Texans on the dangers of this model and promote the benefits of a free energy market. Our coalition is dedicated to combating misguided legislative measures that will lead to a crisis in affordability and reliability of power to our homes, businesses and communities. We stand ready to champion policies that encourage competition and preserve our power.
